Hey guys.. its monday at yes its work again. past few days i didnt post again huh :/ lol coz partially i lazy and then doing my own stuff XD maybe will post a few that i like up here asap and no pics for the nxt few days since it mostly food that i ate before le… briefl what i did the past few days

Saturday

The office machine burnt sevs thumbdrive that we bought over here so we went down to the same place to get it changed, after that actually wanna go gu lang yu too look around, but got a call to go back to office for something i didnt know what it was about but stil rushed down, reaching there actually just a really small problem, but stupid mistake though, maybe indirectly caused by me.. but i did change everything I was asked to and sent it to them le so ya got that fixed and we play some CS before going back to hostel.. the at hostel there just spent the time working on my ownstuff yep

Sunday

About half the day was spent at the hostel working on my ownstuff yes once again till abt late afternoon evening like that went out.. and i got this uber cool hoot~! limited editing band of brothers set only 40sgd! totally worth it!! will post pics.. give hongyi see he will gian rikes crazy =x but th CD quality not v good.. abit pissed but hey its 40bucks =x so i spent rest of the day looking at the video happily XD

Today

same old day, go work buy breakfast, sit there today main thing is to export my UI design into the right sizes and stuff so hopefully can get it in game, worked on it the whole day, left a few more will get it done tml.. same today oso overtime like nobody business but at least this thurs to sat is the labour day holis.. will be a good rest hopefully, so anyway I going off now to get a bathe and either watch more BOB or just go to bed, till then nites in adv and bye from Overtin!

24th April 08 – Thursday

Thursday.. I V LONG NO POST LE!~ LOL coz past 2 days having overtime… got back from office tired then go sleep le.. couldnt even start to write.. yawns… but anyway will considalte all the pics and jsut shove them right here. Basically the past few days stayed over to work on UI i think 1 will be getting into the game, so hope for the best ya!~

Actually to be frank I also had overtime today, and it seems this will be the case till 1st of May Labour day sad.. so post will be less frequent since I am getting piles and piles of work, but I am happy at least its not some edit, or input or stuff that will be done just for the sake of it, the things I will be asked to do might get a chance to really get into the game, that thought pushes me like fucking crazy! High gear mode VROOM!

Today breakfast got from the roadside stall, its some wierd rice and soft biscut thing.. its sucks I only took like 4 bites and yea I stopped. Lunch and Dinner we went outside to eat with the few newcomers, for lunch is because our food wasnt ordered coz the clerk din notice it :/ but we were lucky to see the newcommers so we just blur blur follow eat lo lol, the food there quite nice despite the Lunch time food came damm late, hungry leh… Dinner also at there so the food I ate was Stirfry Mushroom Rice, NICE! Lor mee white de, NICE! with vinegar XD I noe I am a wierd guy that likes sour food. Oh well I get that alot but still..

Alright so thats basically my day in between the food and breaks, did the UI stuff, came up with things I really liked, but didnt work with them, edited them till they really suck and I dont want to show them.. but anyway thats the design field, the client is always king, so ya note to self, BE A BOSS! Overtin – Has Work!!!

21st April 08 – Monday

Monday again! work time, sian alright so today will be going to work hopefully my net is fix and get down to design MORE UI, which more or less WONT be used, a waste of time yes totally but its my job. So ya screw life.

Morning

Got to work, and got some breakfast, just a [Glutinous Rice Chicken Dumpling] it was raining lightly with heavy wind, so the outdoor place was kinda wet, couldnt sit but we just stood there at finish eating it. So back to work, the multi-plug blew so cant on the machine, but still they replaced it and turned it on, happy to see that my net is at the very least connected. So continued work on my UI, 1 done sent and looking for more inspiration over the net, considering the amount of stuff they ask for which is 80% useless since they only ask me to do it to occupy my time. So started on a new piece before Lunch

Lunch

Today for lunch ordered [Burgers] even sev is sick of chinese food! So finish eating then went to play some CS, haiz its ironic, they will keep ask me to play, when i constantly ask for work. zzz I quote from the GM “we come here to learn not for holiday” oh ho wad the fug ok, I have learnt NOTHING, all I do is stuff that I already know, anything I learnt is not from the company but the tutorials found over the WWW.

Afternoon/Evening

After lunch we were asked what we were doing last week and now, and was surprised to hear that “he asked you to design new UI? I thought only need to edit?” evident proof of that my time on my work is wasted totally. I am really really sick of the working environment. I did get some other stuff to do, just copy pasting job, Copy text from and excel file to a Editor and hit save, farking retarded aint it, I hate it, but I choose to come HOPING to learn, but ended up training quick alt-tabbing speed great for switching between applications! yay how useful, except for that fact I already knew it like 7 or 8 years ago? So anyway I will be cleaning up UI for the game, because they say the lines are blurry, reason 1 your using PS what the fuck you expect? reason 2 you give your artist .png to edit SO WHAT THE FUCK YOU EXPECT!? so basically my job for the nxt few days and hopefully weeks will be cleaning up their work and give them WORKABLE .psd or .ai files so the nxt few batches wont be wasting time on stuff and be complained on. Note to self, save those files and send it to the nxt batch. Anyway i did the copy-pasting thing till the end of the day.

Dinner

After another day being pissed at the office, got back to the office and got some takeaway, [Stir-fry Fatty Pork] and [Egg with Spring Onions] tasted fine, its just food and very boring stuff wont elaborate. So on another note, this is another note to myself for the report I have to write to the school after this attachment, that the next batch of students SHOULD be given an opportunity to work on Origins their game in development, at the very least there is work that they can learn from. Not like Immortals that has nothing to learn from, For artist, you will be the only one on their team, learn my balls…. So anyway from the very pissed Overtin, Bye, the game will be coming to SG soon, and please, dont support it, get CabalSEA instead it pwns the game up down left right everywhere.

19th April 08 – Saturday

Saturday!! Its the weekend liao~ today plans, ship some stuff back to SG, draw some RMB running out already and go get a cheap 4GD ThumDrive!! lets just get on with the day.

Morning/Breakfast
Woke up bright and early coz my guy roomate going back to his home and then he say pei me go to the post office to get my stuff mailed, everything is in chinese so ya he would be a GREAT help! So ya got to the xi chun post office, and sent about 8kg worth of stuff back paid 30sgd for it, make a guess. Some of your presents inside, if suay suay that ship happen to sink or what, sorry ar :’( after sending the package, got some breakfast with sev, nice sia [Rice Dumplings] quite nice I find, its like sushi with different rice and stuffed with alot of things, mine have Youtiao very crispy damm nice, chicken floss and bits spicy de, quite oily but its GOOD!!! Oh and a cup of [Red milk tea] quite interesting, if anyone heard of (mi te-Tea with rice) tea that has been brewed with some baked crackled rice bits has a nice rice flavour to eat, but anyway thats how the red tea tasted. After getting breakfast, went to the fake MUJI and supermarket to get more stuff and got back to the hostel.

Afternoon/Evening/Lunch/Dinner {This title pro rite}
After getting to the hostel just sat around took a break since woke up damm early to go buy stuff, then about 12+ we set off to the tian zi chen simlim like place to get the Thumbdrive, actually wanted to get something for her, but the place like stop selling le, sian, but anyway I ended up getting 2XKingston 4GD thumbdrive at 115RMB each, and a pair of earphones at 25RMB each, you do the math. Yup so after getting the stuff we headed back to xichun to get Lunch and for me with Dinner, coz it was about 3, so ordered [Sa Cha Beef Rice Set] not to bad, nice pepper taste and [Coffe Ice Blend] not bad, quite normal so wont elaborate. After my Lunch/Dinner, walked to a new place around xichun our guy apartment mate recommend de, gt fake bape shirts wor! BUT! most of them are ugly :/ still gt some other stalls, most prob I will do my last minute shopping there, seems like a nice place to squander my hard-saved money XD

Night
Well so after all that got back to the hostel, before heading back we decided to walk around the beach just across our hostel, after 7 weeks of being here, its the FIRST time I actually got so near the beach which is only 2 streets away, now you see how lazy sporeans can get! muahaha but anyway walked around the place, and got back to the hostel, rest of the day i spent talking on msn with her and doing some 3D, now typing this post after which will go take a bath and most prob rest, tml is Sev bdae so ya, its bye from me, and

18th April 08 – Friday

Alright, so its Frida once again! and I am past my half way mark and soon I will be on my way back to SG! so morning same thing, went to get breakfast, [2eggs] and [2Dough Sticks], quite nice then after that go start work, so basically in the moring I started looking through some tutorials to get some information on what to do, so going through halfway, my net DC, its common so I didnt think much, tried for quite sometime couldnt get online, cant even on to the internal IM chat. So just did a new UI with what I have, till Lunch

Lunch
Today eat [Home-style Tofu Setmeal] nice haha, but still not anywhere near liking chinese food, sad but anyway after Lunch, got to some CS, I cant connect to the IM but I can play CS wierd… so I played.. told the IT guy about my prob, he jitao just say play first.

Afternoon/Evening
After that no help at all with my net or what, SO FUG IT! I went to read up some PDFs I found all those, I cant be bothered if they aren’t I just hope it dosent affect my IAP score, I get ONLY some 2D design stuff, I WASTE time doing stuff thats NOT NEEDED, and well ITS A FUGGING WASTE OF 3 MONTHS! disregarding the fact that I did got some pratice for my 3D. I strongly discourage all my juniors not to come to this place, UNLESS you get to work on their new game which is not immortals, Immortals is so back stage and artist are asked to EDIT pictures translate and DATA ENTRY and coders are asked to COPY PASTE scripts. 2 years of precious studies wasted in a useless enviroment, thats why the standard of games they produce never get anywhere. So done with the complaining, I finised reading the PDF, and got on my way back to the hostel

Dinner
Today went to the usual place, but instead ate it, orderd [Stir-fry Dong Fen] and [Stir-fry Hua Ke] the pictures will explain, and it tasted good I must say, hot food is always better that stuff left there for a few hours haha.

Night
After Dinner, got back to the hostel, played some CS, took a bathe and chatted with my apartment mate, she said that one of my colleagues gave us stuff to do and we never finish it, FUG RAH I DIDNT GET NOTHING!!!!! but I can expect its translation again, translation IS part of localisation for games, but fark, I study design mind you, want translate dialouge or contracts, get a translator or a lawyer. Gimme something that I can learn from. I DONT NEED CHINESE LESSONS! I HATE THEM and I DO NOT NEED THEM! fug…… hope next week my net will be up and get something to do, something meaning useful design stuff not translation that is a job for a TRANSLATOR. 17th April 08 – Thursday

Thursday, weeeeee today end tml 1 more day… then… WEEKEND LIAO! muahaha. so ok today got to work and go to the canteen and roadside stall to buy breakfast.. forgot to take pic ps XD but anyway, I got [Soyabean] from the roadside stall, [2 Dough sticks] and [1 Brasied Egg] From the canteen, I really like the dough stick, lol quite nice leh, dont know why also haha, but anyway after my breakfast got to work I finished all my work le so I was pratically rotted for half the morning :/ but just before Lunch, I got something to do, at least its design. So ya started to do it till Lunch didnt really get much done.

Lunch
Today decided to get [Burgers] well yes again, but it has become a staple over here already, I really enjoy chomping into burgers rather then stuffing rice or noodles into my mouth, its personal preference I guess hahax, so after Lunch got to some CS, and play all the way till my break end and back to work!

Afternoon/Evening
So basically the Afternoon I spent doing the design job, but heck I just gonna say its for the in-game cash shop, I damm pissed le, they always ask me to do, I have redesigned that thing for lets say 3 times, came up with approximately 9 designs, which some I find is really ok le, but they keep ask me do do do, and dont fugging use it, without a wacom, i finished 1 very very complete le, all I got, do more. FUG RAH! waste my time do things that are useless, even if they end up using it, I still gonna claim it as mine, as use for future game UI if it happens to fit. So they tell me do I also LL la, so continue surf web for insipiration, but it really sucks, over at office is CHN PS, the options are all messed up, I cant find what I want, what I need or anything, and the whole office net tio disconnect or something, dont need research also, and I damm pissed with them asking me to keep do things that are FUGGING POINTLESS! SO i ownself go pratice my own modeling, tml then do more. So after that went on my way back to the hostel.

Dinner
On the way look at the takeaway stuff, wasnt really interested so just decide I will go back and cook some microwave food, one I cook was some [Fatty Pork and Rice] thing, it wasnt really nice IMO, I prefer the curry one ALOT more, so anyway I finish eating, and started to do more 3D, chat abit with her on MSN, and typing this post after which I will go bathe and do abit more stuff before going to bed So anyway Its bye from I dont know how many miles away!

16th April 08 – Wednesday

Wed once again, i have this word block W-E-D-N-S-D-A-Y, I cant seem to spell it everything i try, something is bound to go wrong send me back to my kindergarten for some calender training :/ but anyway its the mid week once again so I am just gonna carry on with my day, disregarding the fact I cant spell properly!

Morning
Got to word, today din buy from the roadside stall, instead went to the compound canteen, I dont really know how to explain I guess I will take a pic tml so anyway bought [Beancurd Soup] is that how we call it English?, [You Tiao Fried Dough Strips] and [Ru Dan Braised Egg] the Egg nice, Dough Strips nice, making the beancurd fell and looks so tasteless. hahax but its pretty good, so got back to work after Breakfast, did translation again. Wont elaborate yes same old boring stuff till my Lunch

Lunch
Today order some [Fried Beehoon] its some normal stuff, getting sick of Chinese food :/ but still just finish eating it and played some CS. after CS back to my boring job.

Afternoon/Evening
So basically continued with translation/compiling job. got it done at abt 5+ and went web surfing till the end of the day, after work, went to the xi chun to get some stuff she wanted and for dinner and top up my card yup but very suay my wallet drop on to some one spit -.- fug fug fug fug fug fug fug fug…!!!! when will they grow to be more civilized or maybe I should learn to be less clumsy.. but I refuse to blame myself.. they should stop spitting anywhere they like! Choose a bush a tree, NOT ON A FUGGING STREET!

Dinner
So ate over at xi chun after getting some stuff [Pork Steal Setmeal] the pork and egg you see is the only edibale thing the rest is kns but anyway after dinner got back to my hostel took a bathe now typing my post chatting with my family later she will call me :p so me is going to say bye bye now liao. 15th April 08 – Tuesday

Hey, its Tuesday once again, going to work to finish some translation stuff and should be a slacking day i guess. so got to work, with some breakfast bought on the way, [1 Hard-boil Egg], [1 Tea-Egg] and [Soya Bean Milk] got to work and started finish my job it was pretty fast, so after my breakfast got it done and start web surfing. After a while got some work, translating de so just did that till Lunch.

Lunch
Order some [Curry seafood Fried Rice] its actually quite nice, so after Lunch, play abit of CS and back to my translation work yep

Afternoon/Evening
So got back to the translation finished it, and then can relax awhile so I surf abit more web, and got abit more translation damm sian bt anyway just do, then the GM come talk to us, abt the stuff at the office pantry, we have to pay for it, and about our stay here, just telling us we have to be more proactive and do more work to do more things to learn oh well guess I will have to DIY more :/ ok so coudnt finish it, so on my way back to the hostel yea.

Dinner
On the way back, got takeaway, [Fatty Pork], [Stir-fry Shellfish] and [Stir-fry Cauliflower], so after dinner watched Gone in 60 seconds the steal car show, till when she called, now finishing typing the post, do abit more thing then go sleep le, so yup Bye from Overtin!

Mondayy oh i can feel the blues :/ god damm oh well thats life.. and as each day creeps bye.. I am 1 day closer to SG XD alright i just gonna get on with my day.. but its going to be very boring.. nothing to read to be frank

so today morning got to work go buy breakfast.. [Milk and Meatbun] erm I wont be elaborating it really isnt much anyway.. so ya started morning with nothing to do.. ended up surfing the web and stuff.. yes a waste of manpower.. but since I got nothing to do.. and yes I have asked countless till I gave up.. that I will only get work when there is.. if not I am to shutup so anyway just loiter around hwz forums read some news till abt Lunch

Today order [Burgers] starting to hate chinese food.. or should I say just damm sian of what I can eat over here… I miss SGs ba chor mee.. asam fish.. curry fish head.. Afternoon/Evening
Ok FINALLY in the afternoon got some work, had to translate some bug reports from the USA version of the game I working on.. and can I please say.. their English is not that good afterall.. fug dont noe how use MSWord spell check =X DONT COCKY RAH! but anyway there was quite a number of bugs.. will be continuing translating them tml, and I am totally sick of it! ok so I did that translation thing till the end of day and went back to the hostel.

Dinner
Takeaway from the usual place.. not too sure what I order but it should be [Braised spare ribs], [Duck meat Strips stir fry with Spring Onions] and [Stir-fry Beansprouts] on the way met the ling ling she say we have to pay for the stuff we ate at the office but the SG rep did tell us it was free for us.. but ya she say have to pay.. oh well, I dont really like it but will pay for it, and at the same time claim for all the stuff we paid for at our hostel, light bulbs, switches and toilet breakdown. Because we have no pay but our LODGING is paid for, considering the state of the place we are living in, they have alot to pay for

So anyway, I will be taking some pics for reference I can expect the place to be worse few years down the road, so if anyone knows a junior from the games track that might wanna come here, please let them know, this place sucks pretty bad alright enough of the complaining I going to do some of my own stuff 1 and half month I will be back in SG with my own bed my girl my family my friends, everything worth living for, not being treated like a useless human, I feel very unproductive here.
